potty training

I have been using a mix of disposables and cloth nappies (the pocket kind) since Jacob was born. (he's 17 months, btw) I know that I have some time to worry about potty training, but it never hurts to learn something new ;) I have been reading some articles (and me being the forgetful mum that I am, I can't find those articles to save my life) and I can't remember if the 'experts' said that disposable or cloth nappeis were better for the kid to learn that 'wet' sensation.

So, now that i am done babbling(lol sorry!), which is better for a toddler to learn when he is wet? Geschenk

Babies who wear cloth nappies generally potty train quicker as they are more aware when they have wet.

The last thing you would want to use IMO is the disposable pull ups- they are a total con! Most are just as absorbent as a nappy so keep the bum dry and the child doesnt know when they have wet and arent uncomfortable so have no desire to stop doing it! They just help to keep kids in the companies products for longer! Angry

I also have a 17 month old, and Ive started to get her used to her potty, she has only managed to actually wee on it twice so far though! I usually let her run around bare bottom at home and keep the potty nearby, or she wears some of the Bright Bots Training pants.

Hope that helps! Grin
