ok, I am dumb....I have been reading about women who had doulas, but I can't REALLY figure out what they are. help!

she (maybe he? are there any guy doula's?) is basically like a birhting coach. she is with you during labour and helps to make sure that everything goes as you want it and that you are not bullied into something you don't want
