Question of the Day!

Children often just grow out of this habit, but what if they don't appear to want to? You don't want to be picking them up from their first day at secondary school with their dummy in! What are your tips to get children to break this habit? Is it really that bad anyway? What do you think?

I was reading something about burying the dummy and telling the child tat the 'dummy fairy' took it away

I think breaking them of a dummy would be much eaiser than the thumb

this is going to sound really, really mean. But, my son refused to stop sucking his thumb,. We did everything, put tat nasty tasting stuff on it, talked to him, reward, blah blah blah. You kbnow what stopped it for good? When to school the first day and teh teacher said 'now, only babies suck their thumbs' (don't worry, she told me she was going to say it and she said it in that nice, sweet, sing-song playgroup leader voice) and he stopped THAT DAY! I wanted to kiss her! haha
