The privacy of your data is important to AllMums!

The AllMums community is based on the trust our users have in us. Needless to say, in order for us all to be able to trust each other, it is important that we honestly inform you about the use of your data.

In particular, we would like you to be able to rely on the following:

• With regard to the collection and use of your personal data AllMums is obliged to adhere to the national and EU data protection laws and regulations.  The Television and Media law, the national data protection law, the data protection regulations of the Telecommunication law (§§ 85 ff. TKG) and the legislatory guidelines at EU level belong to these data protection laws. We only collect personal data from you in order to facilitate the use of those Internet services required for registration.
• Your personal data will not be accessible to any non-members. What you would like to tell other users about yourself is left entirely up to you. You can specify yourself which personal data supplied by you can be seen by other members of the AllMums community. You can also allow different users different access. You can specify that at the menu tab Privacy settings at the editing of your profile (www.AllMums.co.uk/). We will also never reveal your personal data to third parties for the purpose of advertising or marketing.

The following sets forth how all your personal data are protected in compliance with current applicable laws and regulations. We explain when you can object to the use of your personal data and when we request your consent, where necessary.

By accepting the following Privacy Policy the User agrees to the handling and use of her personal data by NetMoms GmbH (hereinafter: "NetMoms") as an Operator of the AllMums site in correspondance to the regulations explained below as well as in compliance to do applicable laws and regulations, in particular the data protection law.

1 Personal data of the User

AllMums is a community site, whose aim it is to enable and encourage the development of a social network as well as communication within this network. As is the case with any network, AllMums is also built up on the principle that you, as a User, share information about yourself in some limited amount with other users. This information should be correct so that a network, such as AllMums, could function properly.

1.1 Necessary User data at registration

1.1.1 In order to ensure a proper handling of the user account, at registration you will be asked for the following personal data:

Username

E-mail address

Password and repeat password

Postcode

Place of residence (not the complete address)

In order for AllMums to collect, hanldle and use these data, your agreement is needed. That is why we would like to ask you to accept the following statement:

I agree to the collection, handling and use of my data by AllMums, as far as these, in particularly my email address, postal code and county, password and username are only used for the purpose of the establishment, implementation and development of user relations. The agreement is obtained by NetMoms GmbH, Arndtstraße 10, 50676 Cologne, Germany.

1.1.2 The other users have only a limited access to the data you provided at registration. Your username is visible for all users. This you can choose yourself and it does not need to be related to your real name.

will be only visible for other users, if you have not adjusted your settings in any other way in the Privacy settings. The rest of the registration data is not visible to other users.

In order for AllMums to be able to make this data accessible to other users your agreement is required. That is why we would like to ask you to accept the following statement:

I agree that my username will be made accessible to all users of AllMums and will be visible to them.

In addition I agree that any further data relating to my person will be made accessible to the other network users and will be visible for them, in accordance with that which I have specified in my privacy settings. The agreement is obtained by NetMoms GmbH, Arndtstraße 10, 50676 Köln.

1.2 Data provided voluntarily by the User

Apart from the necessary data described in 1.1, there are extensive means on AllMums by which you may volunteer more data about yourself (e.g. hobbies and interests). These data is not obligatory but they may aid interaction with other users. They can help users to get to know each other and communicate better. Each user can decide independently which data she would like to make public.

I am aware that I can specify in my privacy settings to what extent my data will be accessible and visible for other users.

1.3 Adjustment of the privacy settings by the User

In the rubrics "Home" and "Groups" at the menu tab "Privacy settings" you could as registered user make accessible only particular information according to your perception and only to particular users or user groups. Here the user can specify, if all her data about place of residence, children, friends, photos, groups and contributions will be visible for all users or just for her confirmed contacts (Friends).

2 Collection of further user data – cookies and server log files

2.1 Cookies are small files that are either temporarily stored on the RAM ("Session Cookie") or permanently on the hard drive ("Permanent Cookie"). Each user can choose by way of the settings on her Internet browser if she accepts cookies, if she wants to be informed when a cookie is installed or if she does not want to allow any cookies. AllMums does, however, wish to make it known that the use of the AllMums service is not possible if cookies are not allowed.

2.2 In order to authorise the user on login and to balance the load of the server capacities AllMums uses Session Cookies. These are not saved on the hard drive of the user but expire automatically after closing the Internet browser.  Cookies generate an anonymous user ID for the user, but there will not be any programmes running on the user's computer or any computer viruses transmitted.

2.3 Cookies allow user data to be collected, handled and used. The setting of these cookies serves the purpose of making AllMums user-fiendly, user-oriented as well as effective and secure. In that way it is possible, for instance, for the data required for log in to be saved in order to enable a simpler login. In addition the cookies faciliate the personal greetings on AllMums and the supply of applications that are customized to the user. That is why we ask you to accept the following agreement:

I agree to the placing of cookies by AllMums for the collection, handling and use of user data. By the setting of the cookies, the login can be made simpler, a personal greeting can be implemented or I can make use of applications that are customized to my needs.

2.4 On viewing each page, the user's Internet browser transmits access data, which are automatically saved by AllMums in protocol files, the so called Server Log Files. The date and time of the page view, the User's IP address, the browser type and version, information about the operating system, the outgoing site, the amount of data transferred as well as eventual error messages are all recorded. These data cannot be connected to any particular person and are saved only for the maximum time of six months. For these, we also ask you to accept the following agreement:

I agree that by accessing the network the automatically transferred information will be saved in protocol files for the maximum of six months.

3 Use of personal data

3.1 Within the collection, saving, handling and use of the data described in number 1. AllMums will always adhere to the legal regulations, in particular to the regulations from the TMG and §§ 28, 29 of the BDSG.

3.2 AllMums will collect, handle and use the personal data for the purpose of justifying, managing and developing the usage relations of the users within the Internet service as well as maintaining the network offered by AllMums. The data remain encrypted.

3.3 In order to be able to continuously improve AllMums services, AllMums would like to be in the position to analyse and comprehend the behaviour of the users on the site. This comprehension allows AllMums to improve important and heavily used features and/or add on missing features. For that purpose, AllMums will use the data gathered at the registration (e.g. county and postal code), the data entered voluntarily by the User in her profile (e.g. age, interests, favourite music/bands, favourite book/films, etc.), the membership in groups ("My Groups") as well as the Log Files to create anonymous user profiles (§ 15 III TMG). AllMums will, however, under no circumstances relate the user profiles to persons, which means, the identity of the user remains concealed. Additionally, AllMums ensures that the anonymous user profiles cannot be consolidated with the personal data of the user in no technical, personal or organizational aspect.

I can object at any time to the use of my data as well as to the existence of the user profiles created from the protocol files of my using the site. The objection can be raised at any time by simply sending a notice (email, fax, letter) to the following contact:

3.4 The use of the AllMums network is free for the users. The development and the maintenance of the network incur high costs which among other means are covered by advertising revenues. By means of the created user profiles as well as the analysis of the Log Files the users will be presented personalised advertising. This means that the advertising shown will be only targeted to the user profile and as such will offer potentially the most interesting advertising for the user. The advertising can be presented to the user through its integration on the web site, by sending an email to the address provided by the user or through the AllMums notifications service. Because of the free nature of out services we urge you to an appreciation of the fact that the use of AllMums is only possible, if you give your agreement to be sent personalized advertisements and special offers.

I agree to the analysis of my user profile data as well as of the log files created by my use of AllMums. I also agree to the optimization of the AllMums applications following the results of the user data analysis and the presentation of personalized advertisements on the Internet pages as well as the offering of special services through the AllMums page. Should I not want to receive any more personalised advertisements and/or special offers, I can object to the use of my data for these purposes. I acknowledge that a membership of AllMums is only possible, if I agree to the use of my data for the purpose of personalized advertisement or the sending of special offers.

I agree that NetMoms will send me notifications and messages on my registered email address or through the internal notifications service.

I agree that through those channels marketing messages and notifications will be sent to me of solely or partial advertising content.

In case I do not want to receive any more emails or messages through the internal notifications service, I can object to the use of my data for those purposes at any time. The objection can be raised at any time by simply sending a notice (email, fax, letter) to the following contact:

4 No forwarding of personal data to third parties

AllMums will not disclose any personal data of the users to third parties for commercial and/or advertising purposes, unless the user has declared her agreement to that or we are obliged to do so by law. In case, the user has agreed to that, she could revoke this at any point in the future by a simple notification (email, fax, letter) to the following contact:

5 Data security

5.1 In order to protect the user from viruses and unpermitted outside access to www.allmums.co.uk as much as possible, AllMums sets up continuously updated firewalls and other security systems. To ensure this AllMums promises to maintain an adequate protection level. AllMums is also obliged to continuous adaptation of the employed security technology to the latest standard of the technological development. However, AllMums cannot ensure hundred percent protection from attacks. AllMums is unfortunately unable to do this because of the continuous development of new viruses and methods of access to secured data systems of Internet services.

5.2 AllMums is not responsible for virus protection outside the network nor for damages and destructions of data from unknown viruses. Every discovered attack by a hacker will be, among others, brought forth for civil and criminal prosecution.

6 Right of information about the personal data of the user

Each user has the right to obtain information about the saved personal data on AllMums free of charge. The user should, however, on enquiry specify the type of information she would like to have. To inquire about that information please turn to the following contact per email, fax or letter:

In addition the request itself one of the following should be enclosed: a verified copy of an official or a valid identification document, or should the request have been sent electronically a readable ID copy with a qualified signature is to be added. The information will be sent via post or electronically to the address on the ID provided by the user.

7 Deletion, correction or blocking

7.1 The User could request for her profile to be deleted by AllMums at any time and in so doing terminate her membership at AllMums. In such a case, all her data will be automatically and completely deleted. To request a deletion, please contact:

7.2 The User can change, correct or delete the data entered by her at any time. If she deletes data, these will be automatically and completely removed. A request for change, correction or deletion of data is therefore not necessary.

7.3 The User has the right to demand at any time the correction, change or deletion of incorrectly saved data. In the case, the User could also correct her data by simply changing the entries herself.

7.5 NetMoms has to make it known that due to technical functions, e.g. the interconnection of proxy servers, in some cases deleted data could be retrievable up to 72 hours after deletion.

8. Enforcement of and compliance with this Privacy Policy

NetMoms is obliged to comply with the standards of this Privacy Policy and also to continue to work towards a continuous improvement of data protection in the interest of the users.

9. Data protection appointee

The trust of our users is important to AllMums. Therefore, AllMums will be happy to provide information and answers about the processing of personal data at any time. 10. Changes of the Privacy Policy

10.1 AllMums is and will continue to be committed to improving its services. Changes to the AllMums services could in some cases also lead to changes in the Privacy Policy. Also changes in the relevant law regulations could potentially require an adjustment to be made. An up-to-date version of the Privacy Policy can be seen at any time on the AllMums home page under http://www.AllMums.co.uk/privacy.html.

10.2 In case of any regulations gaps of this Privacy Policy or if any improvements or changes in the AllMums services require so, AllMums reserves the right to alter this Privacy Policy at any time. AllMums will inform you per email at the email address you provided about all the changes to this Privacy Policy.
